Who We Are and What We Make

CLSEG — formally Hubei Changli Superhard Material Co., Ltd. — is a diamond tool manufacturer based in Ezhou City, Hubei Province, China. We've been making diamond saw blades since 2003, and that's all we do. No sideline products, no trading-company middleman layer. We design formulas, sinter segments, weld them to steel cores, and ship finished blades directly to buyers in over 30 countries.

Our product range covers the full spectrum of stone processing: small sintered blades from 105 mm for angle grinders up to 3200 mm segments for gang saws and quarry block cutting. In between, you'll find bridge saw blades, gang saw blades, silent-core blades, Arix-segment blades, concrete road-cutting blades, and diamond grinding tools. If it cuts or grinds stone, concrete, or ceramic — we make it.

We operate as a factory-direct supplier with independent export rights. No trading intermediaries inflate your landed cost. You deal with the people who actually control the formula, the sintering parameters, and the welding process — which means when you need an adjustment (different diamond concentration, modified segment geometry, private-label packaging), the answer is a conversation, not a chain of emails forwarded between departments that have never met.

How We Got Here

We started in 2003 with a handful of sintering furnaces and a focus on small-diameter blades for the domestic construction market. The early years were about learning which diamond grit grades and metal bond formulas actually survive real-world stone — not lab conditions.

By 2008, export demand pushed us to invest in automated high-frequency welding (manual welding couldn't hold the consistency buyers in Europe and the Middle East required for batch orders). Around 2014, we built our in-house R&D center and started partnering with university research programs. That's where our 60+ patents came from — not theoretical research, but formula and process patents that solve specific cutting problems: faster feed rates in hard granite without premature segment loss, reduced chipping on engineered quartz, longer life in abrasive concrete.

Today we run 8 fully automated production lines and employ 180 people. The facility has grown to 14,100 m². But the core logic hasn't changed: we make diamond tools, we test them obsessively, and we ship them to buyers who need consistent performance across thousands of units.

Inside the 14,100 m² Facility

Walk through our factory and you'll see the full production chain under one roof — from raw diamond powder and metal bond mixing all the way to finished, packaged blades ready for container loading.

Powder Mixing & Granulation

Happens in a climate-controlled room. We blend diamond grit (synthetic, industrial grade, sourced from established suppliers) with metal bond powders — cobalt, iron, copper, tin, and proprietary additives — to formulas we've refined over two decades.

Each product line has its own formula library. When you order a blade optimized for Brazilian granite versus Indian granite, the difference starts right here in the bond composition.

Why it matters: The hardness and abrasiveness of the stone dictate the bond — get this wrong and you either burn through segments too fast or the diamonds never expose properly.

Cold Pressing & Sintering

Automated cold-press machines form the segment blanks, then they enter sintering furnaces at controlled temperature profiles. We run fully automatic sintering lines — consistent pressure and temperature curves across every cycle.

Segment density and diamond distribution remain uniform whether it's the first piece of the morning shift or the last piece of a 10,000-segment run.

For repeat orders: The blades you receive in month six perform identically to the ones you tested in month one.

High-Frequency & Laser Welding

Our automated welding lines handle both processes: high-frequency welding for standard applications and laser welding for blades that face extreme RPM or require dry cutting (where the thermal stress on the joint is higher).

Automated welding also means consistent joint strength — we've eliminated the operator-dependent variation that plagues manual welding shops.

Tensioning, Truing & Finishing

Steel cores are tensioned to ensure flatness under operational RPM. Final truing guarantees concentricity.

Every blade gets a visual and dimensional check before it leaves the welding line.

ISO 9001 · CE · SGS · MPA Certified

How We Control Quality Across 3 Million Pieces

Certifications set the baseline: we hold ISO 9001:2015, CE, SGS, and MPA. These aren't wall decorations — they're audit frameworks that external inspectors verify annually.

MPA Certification — European Market Pre-Qualification

MPA certification is a safety certification for abrasive tools required by European distributors. If you're selling into the EU market, our MPA certification means your blades are pre-qualified for safety compliance.

But certifications don't catch the defects that actually hurt your business. Our internal QC process does:

01

Incoming Inspection

Every batch of raw diamond grit is tested for particle size distribution, crystal morphology, and thermal stability. Metal bond powders are checked against composition certificates.

Our standard vs. industry: We've rejected shipments from suppliers who pass their own QC — our tolerances for particle size consistency are tighter than standard because we've traced segment performance variation back to grit irregularity.

02

In-Process Inspection

During sintering, we pull sample segments from each batch for density measurement and hardness testing. If a furnace cycle drifts even slightly from the programmed profile, that batch gets flagged for re-testing.

Weld verification: After welding, we test joint strength on random samples — destructive pull tests that tell us the actual bond force, not just whether it looks good visually.

03

Final Outgoing Inspection

Finished blades undergo dimensional checks (diameter, thickness, arbor bore tolerance), visual inspection for surface defects, runout measurement, and — for large-diameter blades — dynamic balance testing.

Performance validation: We test cutting performance on sample blades from each production run using our in-house test bench with instrumented stone blocks. If a blade underperforms in our test room, it's not going in your container.

Responsible Manufacturing

Environmental Practices and Worker Safety

Diamond tool manufacturing involves metal powders, sintering fumes, and grinding dust. We manage these with standard industrial controls — baseline responsible manufacturing that means your supply chain doesn't carry hidden compliance risk.

Process Emission Controls

  • Enclosed powder rooms with dedicated air filtration systems
  • Fume extraction on all sintering furnaces
  • Wet grinding wherever possible to suppress particulate
  • Dust collection systems on all dry processes

Waste Recovery & Recycling

  • Metal scrap and used steel cores recycled through local metal recovery programs
  • Spent diamond segments sent to specialized recyclers for cobalt and metal recovery — not landfill
  • Powder coating line uses low-VOC powder rather than liquid paint on packaging and display items

Worker Health & Protection

  • Full PPE protocols across all production areas
  • Hearing protection in welding and high-noise areas
  • Regular occupational health monitoring for all production staff

Supply Chain Compliance

None of this is heroic — it's baseline responsible manufacturing. What it means for you as a buyer: your supply chain doesn't carry hidden environmental or worker-safety compliance risk. Our processes align with the expectations of import markets that audit factory conditions as part of supplier qualification.

University Research Partnerships

Our industry-university cooperation programs — common in China's superhard materials sector — feed us material science advances that we translate into commercial products. These aren't theoretical partnerships; they produce formulations that end up in the blades we ship.

Application-Matched Formulas

When you source a blade for a specific stone type, we don't pull a generic formula off the shelf. We match bond hardness and diamond concentration to your material:

  • Soft bond for hard, non-abrasive granite — so diamonds expose quickly
  • Hard bond for abrasive sandstone or concrete — so the matrix doesn't erode prematurely

Custom Formula Development

If your market requires a blade that doesn't exist in our current catalog, our engineering team develops a custom formula, tests it in-house, and delivers samples within a reasonable timeline. We've done this hundreds of times for OEM partners who serve regional markets with specific stone varieties.

Why In-House R&D Matters

The formula is where diamond blade performance lives or dies. Two blades can look identical — same diameter, same segment count — and perform completely differently because the bond and diamond spec are mismatched to the stone. This is where having your own R&D matters, versus factories that buy pre-made segments from third parties and have no control over the formulation that determines cutting speed, lifespan, and finish quality.
